Starting September 1st, 2024, Acupoint Wellness will be implementing some minor price increases on our treatments
Our cosmetic acupuncture treatment paired with a buccal facial massage; this mighty duo is the facial you didn’t know you needed!
Targeting underlying muscle tone, overall skin health, and outward skin appearance, Acupoint’s signature Sculpt & Lift facial simultaneously covers both your beauty and wellness bases. With this combined treatment we can achieve smoother, clearer skin, lifted and defined facial features, and an overall glow, while preventing signs of premature ageing, improving lymph flow, decreasing stress, and reducing tension. You’ll leave this treatment feeling relaxed and looking refreshed, while your body continues its revitalization process behind the scenes!

Buccal massage (pronounced “buckle”) works simultaneously on the oral cavity (inside the mouth) and face, allowing your practitioner to reach deeper layers of muscle tissue and ligaments. The repetitive and rhythmic movements of this massage help to retrain the muscle to lift the face and improve muscle elasticity, while also relaxing both deep and surface tension, and improving lymphatic drainage. The results? Softened facial lines, reduced puffiness, and better cheek and jaw definition. See our buccal facial massage treatment page for more details.
Cosmetic acupuncture uses hair-thin needles inserted just below the skin’s surface to stimulate or sedate the motor points of your facial muscles, increase the flow of blood and energy (Qi) to nourish your skin, boost collagen and elastin production, and promote detoxification. With this specialized form of acupuncture, not only will any underlying issues or individual skin concerns be addressed, but you’ll experience reduced fine lines and wrinkles, a smoother, more even complexion, and healthy, supple skin. For more details, see our cosmetic acupuncture treatment page.
Note that while you’ll see an immediate difference in overall appearance, depending on your individual concerns the results will be much more noticeable after several treatments. Just like working out, the effects are cumulative!
Before your Sculpt & Lift treatment, your practitioner will discuss your main skin concerns, ask questions about your health, and visually assess the skin to identify any present imbalances. Once you’re settled and comfortable, your practitioner will cleanse your skin.
Your Sculpt & Lift facial treatment includes:
- Acupuncture targeted to the facial region (your practitioner may also include a few body points for relaxation, wellbeing, and balance)
- Optional LED light therapy with needles in for 20 minutes (optional but an added bonus to boost collagen production and enhance the treatment)
- Facial and intraoral massage (the intraoral portion is performed with gloves, and not as strange as it sounds!)
- Facial mask
- Neck and head massage
Please note that if you have jaw tension, you may experience some discomfort during the facial or intraoral massage. Usually it's a good, therapeutic discomfort, but we will always check to see if the pressure is okay, and we welcome you to please let us know if you feel too much discomfort.
We are currently asking clients to arrive right on time for appointments. For your first appointment please ensure that you have filled out your intake form. If you can, wear comfortable clothing. Eat a light snack before your appointment or have one handy in case you feel you need nourishment afterwards.
It’s common to feel deeply relaxed after a session, and, not unlike a good workout, your facial muscles might feel fatigued. Take time to stay present with these sensations as they carry forward into your day or evening. Depending on your level of tension going into the treatment, your face or jaw may feel sore, achy, or tender. If so, apply a warm compress to soothe the muscles.
It’s also important to stay well hydrated after a treatment. While it’s okay to carry on with your daily activities or exercise routine post-session, we recommend taking it easy. You may experience a little fatigue, and in some rare cases very mild flu-like symptoms (aching, headache) — all signs of your body’s natural healing and detoxification process.
