+ Muscle tension
+ Digestive issues
Performed in a casual group setting, our Community Acupuncture treatments are perfect for those who need to receive regular, ongoing treatment or those that want a deeply relaxing, refreshing experience - an opportunity to completely unplug from the world. And, if you’d like to find connection within a healing community, we invite you to stay for tea and chat with your practitioner or other group guests post-session.
Not as detailed as an individual session (better for complex health issues), community acupuncture is a wonderful, budget-friendly way to receive regular maintenance and care. If you have complex health issues and would like to experience community acupuncture, we recommend doing so after you’ve had an initial acupuncture treatment with consultation.
My wife convinced me to try acupuncture to calm my neck tension and I felt immediate results after one visit. I would highly recommend this therapy.
While tiny acupuncture needles stimulate your body’s natural healing response by activating the nervous, immune, and endocrine systems to relieve tension, promote feelings of wellbeing, and improve blood flow, the calming meditation music (or, the instruments played by your sound bath practitioner) will slow your brainwaves and lull you into your most relaxed brain state. In this meditative zone of the parasympathetic nervous system, your body will experience a deeper rest and be provided with the opportunity to release both physical and emotional pain.

Before treatment, you’ll have a brief opportunity to speak to a practitioner and fill out a form with the reason for your visit. Upon entering the community healing space - a cozy, cushiony oasis, you can find a spot to lay back and relax. You’ll be provided with ear plugs, an eye mask, and meditation audio, but feel free to bring your own!
Your practitioner will come by to place acupuncture points (for general relaxation or specific to your needs), and, depending on the treatment you select, you’ll either relax to calming meditation music or experience a sound bath for 30-45 minutes. When you’re ready, your practitioner will come around to remove the points.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out your treatment form, use the washroom and get settled in our community healing space. Wear comfortable clothing (make sure your sleeves and pant legs can be easily rolled up) and remove shoes and outerwear before entering the treatment space. We ask that all guests use a quiet voice when speaking in the community space to ensure respect and privacy for others.
Prior to your treatment, we recommend eating a light snack, avoiding caffeine, and staying hydrated.
It’s common to feel deeply relaxed and peaceful - sometimes even euphoric - after a session. Take your time to stay present with these sensations as they carry forward into your day or evening.
It’s important to stay well-hydrated post treatment, and while it’s okay to carry on with your daily activities or exercise routine after a session, we recommend taking it easy. You may experience extra fatigue, and in some cases very mild flu-like symptoms (aching, headache) - all signs of your body’s natural healing and detoxification process.
