We are excited to announce the addition of a new team member to Acupoint Wellness. Meet Dr. Charlotte Rose, a licensed Naturopatic Doctor. We are excited to expand our service offering to include Naturopathic services in addition to our existing services offering.
What is your morning ritual?
I start my mornings by making a cup of coffee and taking my dog Lola on a walk.
What does your evening wind down ritual look like?
Some form of movement (a walk with the dog, gentle yoga or stretching), a relaxing shower and some time either journaling or reading a good book.
What song gets your going for the day?
Run the World by Beyoncé
What was the moment that led to your decision to become a Naturopath?
While I feel like my journey to Naturopathic Medicine has been an accumulation of life events, growing up on a small island has shaped who I am today and sparked my passion for nature and its effect on our health.
What is your philosophy on health?
Everybody is different, and one size definitely does not fit all! What works for one person will not be right for another and that is ok! I love to be able to take the time to provide individualized treatment plans for each of my patients.
How often do you meditate?
I aim to meditate daily, but realistically I do 4-5 time per week.
What do you like about meditation?
In today’s busy world I love to be able to take the time (even if it’s just 10 minutes a day) to slow down and remind my mind and my body that there is beauty in every moment if we take the time to notice it.
What is the most common reason people come in to see you for an acupuncture session?
The most common complaints that I use acupuncture to treat are female hormone imbalances and digestive concerns.
What types of health issues do you especially enjoy treating?
My area of focus is all things Women’s health. I am truly passionate about connecting with women and taking the time to talk through their concerns, whether those be questions about contraception use, fertility planning and optimization, gynecological conditions such as PCOS, or menopausal symptoms to name a few. Outside of women’s health I also enjoy treating digestive and mental health concerns.
Share a random fact about yourself.
I have surfed in 6 different countries. I am proof that you can be really bad at something but still have so much fun doing it!
What is your favourite healthy food that you make for yourself? Or comfort food.
Healthy food – Anything that I have grown in my garden! This year I am loving my broccolini and arugula. I love being able to have a connection to where my food comes from, and I appreciate the food that much more after putting so much effort into growing it.
Comfort food – Anything with chocolate in it!
