What’s your morning ritual?
I try to meditate each morning for 15-20mins, do a bit of yoga, have a big glass of warm water to cleanse my body after a night of sleep before preparing breakfast and getting ready for the day.
What does your evening wind-down ritual look like?
I usually have chamomile tea while I relax and unwind, read, and if I’m not feeling too tired which is rare, I’ll try to squeeze in a before-bed meditation
What song gets you going for the day?
Ayla Nereo – The course
What was the moment that led to your decision to become an Acupuncturist?
When I realized I was unhappy doing what I was doing and that alternative health was a real interest of mine. It dawned on me to do acupuncture and when I was looking into school everything just seemed to line up perfectly.
What is your philosophy on health?
Be kind to yourself, I try to remind myself this as well.
How often do you meditate?
I try to every day but sometimes if I went to bed too late and I have a rushed morning I honestly won’t fit it in. The past little while I’ve been pretty good so hopefully, it stays that way!
What do you like about meditation?
It really helps me center myself and un-scatter my mind before being able to take on the tasks for the day. It also helps me to focus on what I’m grateful for which sets a good tone for my day.
What is the most common reason people come in to see you for an acupuncture session?
Stress and shoulder/neck tension.
What types of health issues do you especially enjoy treating?
I especially enjoy working with emotions, digestion, fertility.
Share a random fact about yourself.
I’m fascinated with aliens
What is your favourite healthy comfort food?
I have many favorites! But something I was proud of being able to make tasty was vegan and gluten-free macaroni and cheese.
Favourite indulgence?
Chips
What do you do to relieve stress?
Go into nature, meditate, yoga/exercise, journal, connect with friends and family
List 3 things you’re into right now:
I just got reinspired to listen to more of Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work, learning more about herbs, and going through my things to be more minimalist (yet not because I still have way too many things to be a minimalist!)
